The Algae4IBD Summer School, co-organised by CCMAR and the MIGAL Galilee Research Institute, gave 21 students from 14 different nationalities a tour of the GreenCoLab facilities. During the visit, the students had the opportunity to interact with our researchers and explore the surroundings of our laboratories.
Laís Speranza, our Sustainability working group leader, presented the talk ‘Life cycle and market analysis’. Other GreenCoLab partners also contributed with presentations and workshops. Mariana Carneiro, from Necton, took part with a presentation, while João Varela and Luísa Barreira, from CCMAR, led interactive workshops.
During the course, the students discovered new applications for algae in the functional development of food and pharmaceutical products, broadening their knowledge and perspectives on the potential of these organisms.
