Sara Ferreira is a Biotechnological Engineer from the University of Algarve. She started her career in pharmaceutical, cosmetic and nutraceutical companies (Medinfar and Labialfarma) as a chemical instrumental analysis development expert. After several years Sara joined in the major food security lab in Portugal named Controlvet as a Chemical Instrumental analysis responsible and worked in the microbiological department too. Lastly 10 years Sara worked in the research field in CCMAR in the Aquaculture Group where she was in laboratory management and an expert in chemical instrumental analysis. Sara integrated GreenColab team as a Chemical Instrumental Analyst to develop, optimize and implement instrumental chemical procedures and improve a services chemical platform. She is doing a PhD in the field of discovery of high-value algae ingredients for nutraceutical, cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications.
