To celebrate Student’s Day, PhD student Pedro Letras and our partner Chef Leonel Pereira joined Catarina Palma and Tiago Ribeiro on Antena3’s “Logo se Vê,” discussing the connection between academic research and industry innovation.
Pedro highlighted how, at GreenCoLab, PhD students actively collaborate with companies, addressing real-world challenges in algae biotechnology. This hands-on approach bridges theory and practice, driving sustainable solutions.
Chef Leonel shared his passion for sustainable gastronomy, unveiling his dish “A Ria Formosa,” inspired by the Atlantic’s essence. His work with CCMAR, PhytoBloom – Microalgae by Necton, and GreenCoLab showcases how science and culinary creativity can merge for a more sustainable future.
