Lais Speranza, Leader of GreenCoLab’s Sustainability WG, attended the 14th International Conference LCA FOOD 2024, with the theme: Healthy food systems for a healthy planet. The event, organized by the Institut de Recerce i Tecnologia Agroalimentáries, Generalitat de Catalunya and Universitat de Barcelona, Campus de L’Alimentació, took place from 8 to 12 September in Barcelona, Spain.
Laís Speranza presented the poster ‘LCA as a tool to unravel the challenges of algae biomass production’, demonstrating the use of LCA as a study point to identify the critical points of sustainability and efficiency in algae biomass production.
The LCA Food Conference has become the world’s leading forum on sustainable food. It brings together hundreds of environmental professionals from various sectors (academic, private, public organizations, etc.) to share and advance food Life Cycle Assessments and related tools.
