GreenCoLab students had the unique opportunity to participate in a field trip to the facilities of our partners, Necton and Sparos.  The visit provided empirical insight into the innovative and sustainable practices driving the sector of the microalgae of these prominent companies in the algae industry and the development of innovative and sustainable solutions in the Aquaculture sector.
During the visit, students were warmly welcomed by Natacha Coelho, Innovation Manager at Necton, who provided a comprehensive overview of daily operations and the challenges faced in today’s market. Students could closely observe the growth processes, production and transformation of biomass, and technological innovations, and interact with experienced professionals who shared valuable knowledge.
At Sparos, a company specializing in the development of new products and nutritional solutions for the aquaculture sector, Jorge Dias, Co-founder, CEO and Production Manager, was waiting for us to kindly explain to us how algae play, really important role, in feeding fish in Aquaculture.
We appreciate these moments of sharing, which reinforce our commitment to supporting the academic and professional development of our students.
