During the 8th Congress of the International Society for Applied Phycology (ISAP 2024), held from 16 to 21 June at Alfândega do Porto, GreenCoLab marked its presence with a stand dedicated to sustainable innovation. We introduced a range of innovative algae-based products designed to address global challenges and highlighted algae as a versatile and sustainable source.
GreenCoLab integrated several themes of the event, with presentations of the most recent advances and discoveries promoted by Hugo Pereira, Ana Teresa Gonçalves, Kricelle Deamici, Madalena Mendes and Daniel Figueiredo. These researchers shared valuable insights on innovative projects, of which GreenCoLab is integrated, including Algae Vertical, REALM algae, LOCALITY Algae and the GIANT LEAPS project.
In addition to the presentations, we had more than 10 posters that presented various aspects of algae research, life cycle analysis (LCA), biorefinery, cultivation techniques, contamination management, aquafeed development and more.
Participating in ISAP 2024 was an exciting time to collaborate, learn, and advance in the field of applied fictionology, promoting sustainable solutions to global challenges.
