The Young Algaeneers Symposium (YAS) 2024 took place from 27 to 30 May in Vannes, France. This event, organised by a dedicated group of young scientists in the marine and microalgae sectors, in which GreenCoLab was strongly represented.
Researchers Daniel Figueiredo and Rafael Vitorino played a key role in organising the event and presented posters of their research, highlighting the innovative work being done in the field.
YAS serves as a dynamic platform not only for current algae researchers but also for future specialists in the field. The symposium offers a unique opportunity for the next generation of algae farmers to network and interact with key figures in both the algae industry and academia. Through YAS, participants can make valuable connections and foster collaborations, advancing both their careers and the field of algae research.
GreenCoLab’s involvement in YAS 2024 underlines our commitment to supporting emerging scientists and promoting sustainable innovations in algae research. For next year, Daniel Figueiredo has been elected YAS Chair for 2025, proof of his leadership and dedication.
