From 22 to 24 May, the 5th Seaweed for Health Conference took place in Cork, Ireland. This international conference aims to bring together research and business expertise and experience in the field of nutraceutical, bioactive and pharmaceutical compounds from seaweed.
As part of Subproject 1b integrated into the Algae Vertical, led by partner AlgaPlus, this presentation focuses on valorising the early life stages of the Atlantic Nori seaweed as a value-added ingredient or source of compounds for various industries, including nutraceuticals, cosmeceuticals and food.
The conference also included exchanges between academia and industry, with an exhibition of local industry during the conference, showcooking, and a day trip along the Galician coast.
