The ALGAEREFINE pilot scale biorefinery for algae biomass is integrated in the project DIGITEC led by the University of Algarve. The project is funded by CRESCE Algarve 2020. Further news will be available soon.
The tasks and goals of ALGAEREFINE are:
Deploy a novel biorefinery for effective fractionation of algal biomass
Valorize the biomass of macro- and microalgae using a biorefinery approach
Establish novel high value ingredients from algal biomass for food and feed applications
Establish novel products for the agriculture sector
